Christopher Farrow murdered Wendy Speakes 51 on March 15, 1994. He was caught 6 years later following advances in fingerprint technology.
He took her upstairs into her bedroom where he made her wear a pair of blue shoes he had found in her cupboard and bound her hands with stockings he had brought and gagged her. He then placed a pair of black stilletto shoes on the bedside table and performed sex acts with while stabbing her nine times in the back and twice in the neck.
The court heard that Christopher Farrow liked to look at womens shoes when having sex which was what the black stillettos were for.
